For centuries, people have used glass to add a touch of elegance and style to their homes, churches, and other buildings. Glass decorations are known to come in many different forms ranging from stained glass windows and lamps to glass vases and figurines. There is no end to the possibility of glass decorations. In recent years, spun glass animals have become all the rage, namely art glass fish.
Spun glass is a great way to add a special accent to a room, or even a piece of furniture. There is no scientific study that has determined what the appeal is, but it is in human nature to be attracted to aesthetically pleasing images and objects. However, it has been shown that people prefer decorations that are bright, lively, and elicit feelings of happiness. Brightly colored spun glass has a shine and appeal that many people cannot ignore.

Adding a touch of beauty to your home deccor is easy with spun glass figurines and sculptures; just take care when setting them out, as they are quite fragile. One of the most popular variations of glass figurines is the art glass fish. Art glass fish are often of the tropical variety and are comprised of spun glass or even frosted glass. (Spun glass is delicate and beautiful while frosted glass allows for more detail to the design.)

Glass ornaments and sculptures can be displayed anywhere in your home. If you have a shelf along a windowed wall where they can catch the light, use that. But don't feel that you can't display glass in other areas of your home, like a bookshelf or even the table. Other Ways to Use Glass
Another way that glass can be used to decorate the home is through lamps and windows. Something like a studio gallery lamp window or a stained glass window is a great way to dress up your home. Glass used in the home as decoration can set a particular mood, whether it's nostalgia, serenity, or fun. The stained glass of a window can capture the sun's bright rays while radiating colorful designs within the room. This is the perfect addition to almost any room in your homes the kitchen, the bathroom, or even the living room.
